Geekin' out, so you don't have to! Lots of changes in the WSEC for both residential and commercial / multi-family projects with the incorporation of the 2021 WSEC. As always, RELATIONSHIPS MATTER. We know your local HVAC contractors, subs, and installers. They are on the design team for MEP at permit submittal, and are now (the majority of the time) no longer allowed to be "deferred submittal" by B/D (bidder design). ADM#22-53: We had to resubmit "VE" (value engineering) revisions on a previously approved permit for this client in Bremerton. Just got back APPROVED for Issuance w/ no additional comments! And they get a roof top entertainment deck out of the design change too. 😁 Phase One is a full basement remodel for on-grade living for mom on site.
