Hope Cafes are a vital part of The Hope Vocational Academy. Students, job coaches, and the Cafe Manager run the day-to-day activities of both Hope Cafes. We are preparing our students for competitive employment opportunities as adults in their communities and we are having fun while doing it! Our Cafes are open 7:30 AM to 2 PM daily. During ADD/ADHD Awareness Month, we’re raising awareness about the frequent dual diagnosis of autism and ADHD. 50-70% of individuals with autism will also receive an ADD/ADHD diagnosis. Both of these diagnoses can result in: 🔹Sensory sensitivies 🔹Emotion regulation challenges 🔹Individuals can experience problems socializing in the neurotypical world. 🔹Individuals can often feel overstimulated and overwhelmed At Hope, our programs are individualized for each student, addressing their unique gifts and challenges to improve basic life and vocational skills while increasing their potential for independence.
