In the ever-evolving landscape of infrastructure and construction projects, alliance contracts have emerged as a transformative approach to program management. Our Vice President, Energy Practice Leader, Laura Toporowski has seen firsthand how this delivery model aligns all stakeholders to deliver projects on time and under budget — all while setting new standards for excellence and sustainability. “Alliance contracts represent a paradigm shift in how we approach program management,” writes Laura. “By focusing on shared objectives, total project cost, and schedule milestones, these contracts deliver superior outcomes, and an alternative to traditional Engineering, Procurement and Construction or staff augmentation models.” Read more from Laura on the benefits of alliancing on Energy sector projects, from transmission lines to distribution hardening: https://acm.to/BJOU #AECOM #Infrastructure #Energy #ProgramManagement.

Today’s People Spotlight features Leesa Zerban, regional director from a project management team in our Buildings + Places business in the United Kingdom. After spending over a decade in the Middle East working on new build construction and commercial projects, Leesa returned to the UK to lead a team of 40 focused on the London commercial fit-out market. Since then, she has successfully led major programs for HSBC, Lloyd’s Banking Group and National Highways. One of the industry’s latest priorities, she notes, is decarbonization. “We address carbon reduction through three key stages,” Leesa explains. “First, we collaborate with clients to make strategic decisions on retention and reuse. Second, we choose systems that use considerably less embodied carbon. Finally, we carefully select components and reduce material usage where possible. “ Read more about how Leesa is decarbonizing the commercial real estate sector: https://acm.to/R1I6 #AECOM #RealEstate #Decarbonization
