It's not every day that I get to do acoustical measurements in a unique venue like the Paolo Soleri Amphitheater in Santa Fe, NM. We're excited to help breathe new life into this classic venue with Len Kusovac PE, CTS-D, AE Design, Buffalo Design Architects, Wave Engineering - Acoustics Noise & Vibration.

At the Spa at Hotel Chaco, the lighting design was all about creating a peaceful, relaxing vibe that flows seamlessly from the hotel into this amenity space. Lighting was used to enhance wayfinding and to showcase the beautiful adobe and stone elements that New Mexico is known for. We made sure to keep glare to a minimum by carefully arranging fixtures above spa tables and using indirect lighting soft glow, so guests can fully relax the second they walk through the doors. Lighting controls were a key part of the design, allowing for customizable scene selections in each room to adjust light levels based on their function. We coordinated the placement of the control units to keep them out of sight yet still easily accessible for maintenance. The sauna is highlighted with a linear detail to maintain a clean, seamless look that celebrates the natural materials.
