AEG Contracting, Inc. is looking for an electrician to join our team. *Job Title: Electrical Supervisor - Commercial* Compensation: $80,000 to $95,000 Annually Benefits: Health, vision and dental insurance; vehicle provided Location: MD AEG Contracting Inc. is an established commercial and electrical contractor licensed in MD, VA, WV and DC. We are looking for someone to run our in-house electrical division. The ideal candidate has many years of experience in the commercial electrical field and is ready to take on the responsibility of running an electrical team. Responsibilities: 1. Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial buildings, ensuring compliance with local codes and safety standards. 2. Interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams to effectively plan and execute wiring layouts. 3. Collaborate with project managers and contractors to coordinate electrical installations within construction timelines. 4. Troubleshoot electrical issues, identify faults, and implement corrective measures to ensure optimal system performance. 5. Install and connect electrical components, including panels, switches, outlets, and lighting fixtures. 6. Ensure adherence to electrical regulations and safety protocols, creating a secure working environment for all personnel. 7. Mentor and supervise apprentices, providing guidance and knowledge transfer to facilitate skill development. 8. Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and changes in electrical codes to enhance professional expertise. Requirements: 1. Journeyman Electrician license or 5+ years experience working in the commercial electrical field. 2. Strong understanding of electrical codes and safety standards. 3. Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and electrical diagrams. 4. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. 5. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. 6. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. 7. Physical fitness and agility for on-site work. 8. Commitment to maintaining a high standard of workmanship. 9. Knowledge of electrical tools, equipment, and testing devices.
