📹 In Cyprus, the first phase of the PEDIA - Promoting Energy efficiency & Developing Innovative Approaches in schools project was recently completed. As part of this project, 25 schools in the Republic of Cyprus will receive renovation works aiming to improve the energy efficiency of the school buildings. Educational activities that come in tandem with the energy efficiency renovation works contribute to educating the country's future generations about the necessity of sustainability in all aspects of life. At the end of the project's first phase, five schools have received a full energy efficiency upgrade with 20 more to follow as part of the project. 📌 𝐔𝐍𝐄𝐂𝐄 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐮𝐦 𝐨𝐧 𝐄𝐒𝐃 The Government of the Republic of Cyprus – Ministry of Education, Sport, and Youth is organizing the first UNECE forum on ESD “Empowering Youth for Sustainable Futures: Entrepreneurship Education and Youth Engagement”, aiming at exploring the potential of entrepreneurship education in shaping a sustainable future. The forum will take place in Limassol, Cyprus from the 27-28 of June 2024 and we extend a warm invitation to everyone. This forum aims to serve as a dynamic platform for diverse stakeholders to engage in interaction, discussion, and the exchange of best practices and ideas. Its objective is to collectively explore the ways in which education for sustainable development can influence entrepreneurship and empower youth to emerge as future leaders, driving positive transformations toward a sustainable world. Just north of I-80, between Toledo and Cleveland, is an unexpected educational facility that is setting a shining example of sustainable building for ecological and human health. As the keystone building of Oberlin College’s Environmental Studies program, the Adam Joseph Lewis Center is ensuring that their students get hands-on training, by experiencing an ecologically friendly environment on a daily basis. All the materials within the center are recycled, reused, or sustainably grown and harvested.
