Christine Hoh didn’t just find her passion for STEM through AEOP’s GEMS program—she found her calling as a mentor. After starting as a participant in 2023, she returned as a Near-Peer Mentor in 2024, leading rising 4th and 5th graders through hands-on STEM experiments. One standout moment? Leading an experiment on convection currents, watching her students’ excitement as they grasped key concepts through engaging activities. Moments like these deepened Christine’s own love for teaching and STEM. Now, she’s committed to returning to GEMS to inspire even more students. From student to mentor, Christine Hoh’s journey with AEOP’s GEMS program is inspiring.
