We had an incredible time at the 'Language of Trees' Q-series event hosted by the Museum of Discovery (MOD.) on 15th August during National Science Week! The Q&A session with Assoc. Professor Beth Loveys, Dr Kate Delaporte, and our very own Dr Samuel H. offered deep insights into the intersection of science, art, and public engagement. Thank you to everyone who joined us and contributed to the thought-provoking discussions. Our collaboration on the “Assembly of Trees” exhibit, part of the “BROKEN” showcase, truly came to life with the integration of Aerometrex’s high-quality LiDAR data and aerial imagery. It was fascinating to see how our data helped visualise and track changes in Adelaide’s urban tree canopy, adding a layer of scientific credibility to the artistic vision. Also, a big congratulations to MOD. for being shortlisted in 3 categories for the Australian Museums and Galleries Association (AMaGA) Awards 2024. If you haven’t visited yet, the BROKEN exhibit runs until November. Check it out and vote for BROKEN | MOD. in the People’s Choice Award here: https://lnkd.in/gsUhXZdX #Aerometrex #MOD #Exhibition #Science #Art #DataVisualisation #PublicEngagement

Our team is looking forward to "Spatial Information Day" by the Geospatial Council of Australia in Adelaide tomorrow. We hope to see many of our partners, customers, members of academia, and many others from the wider industry, to talk about all things geospatial. If you’re at the event, we’d love to welcome you to our booth where we’ll have an exciting opportunity to immerse yourself in an interactive showcase of our 3D mesh data viewed via HoloLens alongside our partner Skyline Software Systems. We also have Bailey O'Brien, our 3D Visualisation Specialist, presenting at the event on “Capturing the present using 3D reality mesh to build the future, " showcasing our recent work on the Greenline Project in Victoria. Come talk to any of our team members, and speak to us about your use cases for aerial imagery, LiDAR or 3D mesh data. We're always looking to learn about the industry's unique usage of spatial data to solve real-world issues. #SpatialInformationDay #geospatial #3Dmesh #HoloLens #Skyline #GreenlineProject #industryevent MetroMap
