We are very pleased with our cooperation with DTU - Technical University of Denmark - one of the absolute world leading universities within wind energy. Last week, we hosted a joint conference about "The future of rooftop wind energy". Apart from presentations of the Aeromine technology and our joined project with DTU, the participants could also see the first Aeromine unit in operation on Danish soil.

As we gather to honor the exceptional minds driving innovation at the upcoming Inventors Celebration, Research Commercialization at Texas Tech is thrilled to highlight this year’s achievements in tech transfer and commercialization. In the past year, the Texas Tech University System has: 🚀 Licensed technologies to 9 startup companies  🔑 Filed 58 provisional patents and 68 non-provisional patents   🤝 Collaborated with industry partners to advance groundbreaking solutions These milestones reflect the passion and ingenuity of our researchers and innovators in transforming ideas into real-world applications. But our celebration doesn’t stop there. We are also thrilled to honor three exceptional accomplishments with these special awards:  🏆 2024 "Most Disruptive Technology of the Year" – Drs. C Patrick Reynolds, BALAKRISHNA KONERU and Shawn J. Macha, PhD from the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center for their collaborative work on Compositions and Methods for the Diagnosis and Treatment of ALT Cancer, a technology with great potential for significant impact on industry, society and beyond. 🏆 2024 "Startup of the Year" – Aeromine Technologies, Inc., whose revolutionary wind energy solution is transforming rooftop power generation. Since the company was first founded, Aeromine has rapidly advanced from concept to commercialization through a collaboration between Dr. Carsten Westergaard, TTU Innovation Hub programming, and Sandia National Labs. The company has quickly gained global market traction, securing commercial pilot projects with industry leaders such as BASF, BMW, and Tractor Supply. Scalable production is set for late 2025, positioning Aeromine as a trailblazer in clean energy innovation. 🏆 2024 "Deal of the Year" – Inside Out LLC, a company founded by Suzy Amis Cameron dedicated to introducing revolutionary solutions that tackle some of the world’s most pressing challenges. Inside Out’s collaboration with TTU's CASFER: Center for Advancing Sustainable and Distributed Fertilizer Production, exemplifies the company’s commitment to transforming groundbreaking research into real-world applications, driving commercial solutions for the future of sustainable agriculture.
