On May 3, 2024, the Make-A-Wish Texas Gulf Coast and Louisiana hosted Wish Ball | Among the Stars. The inaugural event celebrated 40 years of life-changing wishes granted by the organization and honored the co-founders of Make-A-Wish, Kay and Tommy Austin. The event raised $1.7 million to help grant more wishes across the chapter’s territory, which serves 47 counties in the Texas Gulf Coast and all 64 parishes in Louisiana.
