Fundraising
Serving nonprofit fundraisers in the 13 counties of Northwestern Pennsylvania for more than 15 years.
About us
The Northwestern Pennsylvania Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) has been serving nonprofit fundraisers in the 13 counties of Northwestern Pennsylvania for more than 15 years. Whether you are new to the fundraising profession or a seasoned veteran, AFP provides individuals with educational and networking opportunities that help you propel your fundraising efforts to a new level. The Northwestern Pennsylvania Chapter of AFP has its roots in Erie, Pennsylvania when a small group of fundraisers decided to gather together to meet and share ideas on how to develop funding resources for their nonprofits. Eventually, this group joined forces with National Society of Fundraising Professionals--now the Association of Fundraising Professionals. Our chapter invites you to explore the benefits of membership in The Association of Fundraising Professionals. For more information, please contact Dawn Johnson, Chapter Administrator, at 814-734-3039 or by email at admin@afpnwpa.org.

Today we celebrate Juneteenth, a day of freedom and reflection. On June 19, 1865, enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas, were finally informed of their freedom—two and a half years after the Emancipation Proclamation was signed. This day marks the end of slavery in the United States and is a time to honor the resilience, culture, and contributions of Black Americans. Let's take this opportunity to educate ourselves, support Black-owned businesses, and reflect on the work that still needs to be done to achieve true equality. Together, we can make a difference and build a brighter, more inclusive future for everyone. #Juneteenth #FreedomDay #CelebrateFreedom #BlackHistory #EqualityForAll
The AFP offices will be closed on Wednesday, June 19 in observance of the U.S. Juneteenth holiday. We will be back in the office, Thursday, June 20th.
