A nonprofit organization that creates cultural connections through masterful artistry and meaningful conversations.

About us

AfriKin is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that creates cultural connections through masterful artistry, meaningful conversations and community engagement. The term AfriKin is the fusion of two words -- Africa and kinship. AfriKin creates programming designed to highlight the role of art and culture in human development and enrichment. It creates opportunities for positive interchange. We share our Africanness as a basis of kinship. Building bridges between Continental Africa and the Diaspora. The AfriKin mission creates opportunities for the sharing of cultural experiences for a re-defined group of global citizens now known as AfriKin. AfriKin, in addition to being the name of a cohesive, contemporary and diverse cultural identity, is also the name of the platform that has been created to deliver content to this newly-formed international community. Our other objective is to create a safe space where individuals can come to find information and resources that are useful for their own lives and that can be shared in their communities. AfriKin is a hub where insights can be found for associations, creatives, diverse communities of families, companies, collectives and institutions. We inform, empower and inspire participants to take a next step in their advancement and growth. The transformative effect of art as a catalyst of progressive cultural shift is a motivating factor in the development of our programming. AfriKin delivers diverse experiences that facilitate connectivity, promote art and culture and celebrate “oneness” in expression. Through the arts, AfriKin creates ways to connect, communicate and experience the lives and perspectives of global citizens – our AfriKin. AfriKin supports our new identity created by a generation of future-focused, global citizens through transcultural exchange, creative programming and positive media. We inform, empower and inspire individuals to take a next step for advancement.
