Our Air Commandos make it look easy💪 AFSOC continues to implement Agile Combat Employment concepts such as Forward Arming and Refueling Points to provide the placement, access, and survivability needed within contested and denied environments. FARPs enable AFSOC aircraft to quickly refuel, rearm, and return to the fight, reducing downtime and increasing operational tempo. #EmeraldWarrior #AFSOC

What happens when there isn't an actual runway for our MC-130Js? We make our own! This summer, the 352nd Special Operations Wing conducted unimproved surface landing training in Wales, exercising our Air Commandos' ability to land in austere locations. AFSOC continues to pursue runway-agnostic operations, giving the flexibility to rapidly integrate into any environment across the globe. #AFSOC #AlwaysReady

September is Suicide Prevention Awareness Month – a time to raise awareness and educate ourselves and others about suicide prevention. By fostering a supportive environment, addressing stigma and other barriers to care and learning the warning signs and risk factors for suicide, we can become part of an invaluable support system. "Joining Your Fight: Connect to Protect." The welfare of our community is a collective effort, and it takes all of us paying attention and staying connected to one another to know we are never alone. We are stronger together, and together we can Join the Fight not only during National Suicide Prevention Awareness Month, but all year long. The 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline provides 24/7, free and confidential support.

The 27th Special Operations Wing out of Cannon Air Force Base recently conducted a Combat Readiness Inspection, a first for Air Force Special Operations Command. The Combat Readiness Inspection is a new assessment method for AFSOC to evaluate the readiness of a wing to perform mission-essential tasks at the highest assigned threat levels. “Overall, the 27th Special Operations Wing set the benchmark for the future of Combat Readiness Inspections” said Lt. Gen. Mike Conley, AFSOC commander. “The goal for this event was never perfection. We wanted the Wing to be all in, face tough challenges, discover areas for improvement, and work together to problem solve for the future…and they did just that. The CRI was a true reflection of AFSOC culture – a willingness to take on challenges that others may shy away from, even when success isn’t guaranteed. This mindset is key as we learn, grow, and continuously improve our readiness for current and future conflicts.” Read more here: https://lnkd.in/e-unZpfp

September is Suicide Prevention Awareness Month and a great reminder of our first SOF truth - Humans are more important than hardware. People – not equipment – make the critical difference, so let’s build connected communities and encourage a culture that promotes help seeking and intervention when needed. #SuicidePreventionMonth #SuicidePrevention https://lnkd.in/g-ee_DPf

Earlier this summer, the @137th Special Operations Wing welcomed their newest Citizen Air Commandos with wing patches. As a tradition, Air Commandos returning from training at the 137th SOW are welcomed back with the unit's patch, serving as a reminder that they now carry on the legacy of all Air Commandos who came before them. The 137th Special Operations Wing is one of two Air National Guard units within AFSOC and is based out of Will Rogers Air National Guard Base in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Growth is not a matter of chance it is the result of hard work and dedication towards a common goal. 💪 Special Tactics Airmen assigned to the 24th Special Operations Wing and Italian special operations forces recently conducted range and military free fall jump training during Emerald Warrior 24 FTX II. AFSOC prioritizes joint, combined training exercises and simulations to enhance interoperability with our Allies and partners. Supported by U.S. Special Operations Command, Emerald Warrior is a joint, combined special operations exercise that prepares U.S. special operations forces, conventional enablers, Allies, partner forces, and interagency elements to respond to various threats across the spectrum of conflict. #trainhard #workhard #USSOCOM #AFSOC #AirCommandos
