We are heartbroken to share that our beloved founder, Sid Wolk, passed away on Thursday. Sid loved to connect with people. His authentic humanity touched many lives and he was adored in return. Sid’s enthusiasm for opportunity, willingness to take risks and true entrepreneurial instincts were the driving forces behind the creation of Agero, which he founded in 1972 (then as the Cross Country Motor Club). Thanks to Sid’s leadership, our company has significantly grown and now serves as the foundation of The Cross Country Group, one of the largest family-owned firms in Massachusetts. Thank you, Sid, for your optimism, energy and innovative spirit; we will continue to move the company you created forward. Our thoughts are with the Wolk family.
It is with extreme personal sadness that I share the news that our beloved founder Sid Wolk passed away yesterday. He died peacefully and in comfort. His boundless energy, sense of humor, kindness, and entrepreneurial spirit will forever be the foundation of our company. He always believed the best is yet to come and we will continue to deliver that promise. We will all keep the Wolk family in our thoughts during this difficult time.

Fascinating insights from Insurance Institute for Highway Safety / Highway Loss Data Institute and Massachusetts Institute of Technology on how drivers use Volvo’s Pilot Assist and Tesla’s Autopilot features. Agero is proud to partner with the MIT Advanced Vehicle Technologies (AVT) consortium (https://avt.mit.edu/) and collaborate with more than 25 organizations as we explore how to accelerate vehicle technology innovation and safety.
🆕 In a pair of of new studies, researchers examined how likely drivers are to multitask while using partial automation, how that behavior changes over time, and how driver behavior adapts to attention reminders. More ➡️ https://lnkd.in/eyjkvw-5

To close out the summer, our Women Who Lead Associate Resource Group hosted a happy hour and collected book donations for More Than Words (a nonprofit social enterprise that empowers youth who are in the foster care system, court involved, homeless, or out of school to take charge of their lives by taking charge of a business). This was such a great opportunity to not only give back to the community but to also catch up with colleagues in the Medford office 😃📚 Special thanks to Meg Donigan and Judy Rodman for coordinating this wonderful event!
