🧐 Why We’re Hosting the 2024 AGI Odyssey Symposium 🌍 AI is rapidly reshaping industries and academia in extraordinary and exciting ways. However, at the same time its misuse is already rampant – with deepfakes being just one example of the many ways AI is being used to harm. Now more than ever it is crucial that we prioritise ethical and safe development as we head towards Artificial General Intelligence – people deserve to understand AI and how it can affect their lives, and the gatekeeping mentality around it needs to be replaced with transparency, education and collaboration. Here at AGI Odyssey we believe that AI should be used to help humanity, not harm it. Our goal as a non-profit has always been to create a future where technology amplifies incredible AI research capabilities globally while keeping everyone informed – which in turn makes the world a better place for all. That’s why we are so excited to be the organisers behind the 2024 AGI Odyssey Symposium. We’re bringing together some of the brightest minds in AI to explore how this technology can drive innovation while benefiting everyone in healthy, informative, and ethical ways.
