I help legal professionals reduce overwhelm, find balance, and improve predictability in their services delivery systems

About us

Legal operations consulting for high-potential law practices and in-house teams. I help law firm owners (and practice group managers) create and nurture high-performing legal teams. My methods will help you achieve: — Relief from overburden, so that people can get out of "firefighting mode" and work more proactively. — Improved visibility, so that leadership doesn't have to worry about work "falling through the cracks." — Increased consistency, so that common tasks get done the same way every time without time-intensive editing, quality review, or micro-management. — Smoother, more predictable flow, so that leadership can deliver on promised timelines and be more responsive to changing client needs. I incorporate methods from Lean, Agile, and other systems-based approaches to organizational excellence. My primary tools come from the Kanban methodology and the Kanban Maturity Model. The KMM is designed to help your team evolve from a reactive, task-driven approach to become an established market leader that anticipates client needs and consistently delivers high-value, purpose built solutions. It includes assessments to identify where your team lies on the maturity spectrum and offers realistic, actionable steps for advancing to the next level. Although I incorporate plenty of tools and automations, legal technology is not my primary focus. Instead, my approach emphasizes improving the capability and coordination of individual team members and the systems they use to build and deliver their work. I do this using an evolutionary (not revolutionary), data-driven philosophy for systems improvement. Kanban is highly compatible with other management systems. If your team is already using OKRs, Lean / Lean Six Sigma, Traction / EOS, E-Myth, Profit First, 90-Day Year, or other common management tools, the Kanban method will compliment and accelerate your progress. My goal is to improve-upon, not replace, the tools that are already working for you.
