We're proud to have played a key role in the redevelopment of India Basin, conducting a #geotechnical study that laid the foundation for 2.4 acres of new park space and 7.9 acres of Shoreline Park. The transformed area now features gathering docks, accessible walkways, a public plaza, lighted paths, and ecological education areas—an accomplishment we’re honored to be a part of. Join us this Saturday, Oct 19, from 11 am-4 pm for the grand opening of India Basin Waterfront Park! Enjoy free activities, food, live entertainment, and Fall Fest at nearby Shoreline Park, featuring a local market, pumpkin patch, and more. We look forward to seeing you there! Before the summer, construction broke ground on the Japantown Peace Plaza, a major cultural landmark in San Francisco. The scope of work includes demolition of the existing plaza down the structural roof slab, seismic retrofit of structural concrete, installation of new below-grade drainage, and waterproofing. The plaza will be completed with new pavers, landscape planters and irrigation, decorative walls, curbs and railings, lighting, and electrical systems. Mayor London Breed and Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi were in attendance at the official groundbreaking ceremony. "The Japantown Peace Plaza project is more than a renovation; this is about investing in our community today and for future generations. This space is a cherished landmark for our Japanese American community, residents across the City, and visitors from around the world,” said Mayor London Breed. https://lnkd.in/g-KsQeTD #AGS #JapantownPeacePlaza #SFRecreationandParks
