Drone technology has come in handy for the nature reserve fund of Khmelnytskyi region! The new AGSCAN project aimed to collect data to establish the boundaries of the nature reserve fund in the Khmelnytsky region. Given the large area of 11 thousand hectares, we used a DJI Matrice 300RTK multicopter with a Zenmuse P1 aerial camera (for large areas), and a DJI Mavic 3E Enterprise for flights in smaller areas. The fieldwork lasted 2 months, and another month was spent processing the camera data. We should note some difficulties related to the martial law, which prevented us from flying in some

Advantages and problems of unmanned technologies for road topographic surveying! The M-25 road is an important artery in the plain part of the Zakarpattia region. For the reconstruction of the road, it is necessary to perform topographic surveys to understand the condition of the roadway and roadside. Given the traditionally large length of such facilities, it is difficult to do without an aerial camera. AGSCAN chose a FLIRT Cetus UAV manufactured by ABRIS Design Group for aerial photography, which was equipped with a Sony Alpha a7 II camera. The project deadlines were slightly extended due to the summer season and dense vegetation, which made it necessary to use traditional methods and equipment: Leica FlexLine TS06 electronic total station and Leica GS08 GNSS receiver with Leica Viva CS10 controller. The customer received an orthophoto plan, a topographic map of the 34 km long and 25 meters wide section of the road. Now he has complete information for further design.

Advantages of aerial photography in the highlands of Transcarpathia for the maintenance of the Ukrainian power grid! AGSCAN took on the challenge of the task in difficult terrain and successfully and efficiently completed it. Yasinya is one of the highest mountainous settlements in Ukraine, and the local community needed to survey power lines to identify potential problems and perform routine maintenance. We used a DJI Matrice 300RTK drone and a Zenmuse P1 aerial camera as payloads. One day of field work (and another day in the office) resulted in an orthophotomap of a 357-hectare area, which can be used to proceed to the next stages of maintaining Ukraine's energy infrastructure in good condition.

How AGSCAN collected data for the construction of a hydropower cascade — 630 hectares in 1 day! We were approached by a company planning to build a cascade of hydroelectric power plants on the Stryi River. First of all, it was necessary to assess which areas would be flooded and where the dams should be located. The challenge is that the site is very large — 630 hectares — and is located in a mountainous area. However, this is not a problem for the unmanned technologies that AGSCAN has implemented in its processes. Namely, a DJI Matrice 300 RTK multicopter with a Zenmuse P1 45 Mp camera (for orthophotography) or a Zenmuse L1 with LiDAR to build a point cloud and (based on it) digital terrain and relief models. The work in the field lasted only 1 day, and it took another 4 days to process the data. The customer received an orthophotomap and a digital terrain model in the shortest possible time. We also predicted the level of flooding of the surrounding areas at different levels of the reservoir's filling. This will help make the construction of this highly relevant power generation facility as efficient and safe as possible.

Technology in service of geodesy: exploring mountain landscapes from the air! Our team provides precise laser scanning and geospatial data processing to ensure the best results in any conditions. Using laser scanners significantly reduces costs and speeds up the survey process while maintaining high accuracy and detail. Mountain slopes or high peaks are no longer an obstacle, as laser scanning allows for the creation of detailed 3D models, even in the most challenging areas. Reliable geodesy anywhere, even in mountainous regions! #Geodesy #Mapping #Technology #Laserscanning #CAD #GIS #AGSCAN

How modern UAV technologies helped AGSCAN to investigate and increase the efficiency of operations in Rivne region quarry! The customer wanted to estimate the amount of raw materials in the deposit with further monthly monitoring of the amount of extracted rock using UAV technologies. For a full report on a 200-hectare area, we used a DJI Matrice 300 multicopter with mounted geodetic equipment: a Zenmuse L1 lidar and a Zenmuse P1 aerial camera. The field work lasted just one day, while the quarry continued to operate. Let's not even compare how long it would take to do the same work using traditional methods without UAVs. It took another two days to process the data. The customer received: 🔹 Orthophoto plan of the site. 🔹 3D point cloud. 🔹 Topographic plan of the territory. 🔹 Data on the volume of raw materials in warehouses and within blasting operations. Now the company knows the volume of extracted and processed rock, can compare it with previous results and do it regularly in the future. AGSCAN will help them with this!

AGSCAN case study - topographic plan of 60 km² for a wind farm using unmanned technologies! 🌍🛠️ The new project was a challenge because of its scale — we were tasked with laser scanning a 400 km long object with a 150-meter wide corridor near the town of Hlobyne, Poltava region, using a DJI Matrice 300RTK drone with a Zenmuse L1 LIDAR. This is necessary to create a detailed topographic plan at a scale of 1:500 for the design of a wind farm that will slightly improve the energy situation in the region. As part of the project, the AGSCAN team also measured the sagging of the wires at the intersections with the projected communications, which is much faster and better to implement using LIDAR scanning. The work was divided into 2 stages: - Field work: data collection lasted for a month, including laser scanning and wire sag measurements. - Data processing: analysis and preparation of source materials took two months in the office. The project took place from November to March, when the weather conditions in Ukraine posed a challenge to work in the field. Nevertheless, thanks to the experience and technical training of the AGSCAN team, the goals were successfully achieved. The customer received a complete set of information: - Topographic plan DWG format. - DEM (digital elevation model) LandXML format. - Classified point cloud LAS format. - Orthomosaic TIFF format. - GCP The priorities of our team are the speed of data processing and the quality of the information provided, which was achieved thanks to Terra Solid and Civil 3D software. Microstation software with the Terrascan module was used to classify the point cloud, and Autodesk Civil 3D was used to create a topographic plan. The AGSCAN team is ready to take on any challenges in the field of geodesy and mapping, and use all its experience and strength to achieve the client's goal. #Geodesy #Mapping #Technology #Laserscanning #CAD #GIS #AGSCAN
