#USA #Female Farming #DATA – #Younger and #Beginners! 2022 - the United States had 1.2 million female producers, accounting for 36% of the country’s 3.4 million producers.  #Female producers were slightly #younger, more likely to be a beginning farmer, and more likely to live on the farm they operate than male producers. More than half of all farms (58%) had a female producer. #Farms with one or more female producers accounted for 41% of U.S. agriculture sales.

New Generation Farmers   #UnitedStates had 112,379 producers in 2022 who identified as #Hispanic, #Latino, or Spanish origin, accounting for 3% of the country’s 3.4 million #producers. Almost two-thirds of Hispanic producers were in #Texas, #California, #NewMexico, and #Florida. They were younger and more likely to have recently started #farming than U.S. producers overall. Hispanic-operated farms accounted for 6% of U.S. #agriculture sales and 4% of U.S. #farmland.   Source: AgCensus

Good News for 4th of July Celebrations! U.S. #farms and #ranches produced $543 billion in #agricultural products, up from $389 billion in 2017. With farm #production expenses of $424 billion, U.S. farms had net cash income of $152 billion. #IFPA – International Fresh Produce Association – the largest association serving the entire #freshproduce and floral supply - yearly event in Guadalajara, Mexico was an opportunity for #Agtools to launch new data on our terminals. Terminals are real time monitors use by our customers to have on their trading floors, meeting areas or desktops to keep up with mission-critical data. Traders (Buyers and Sellers) and all levels of Hedgers are adapting to have data transparency and accurate to manage their daily operations more efficiently.

U.S. Availability Soars Costa Rica Leads with 87% of Imports! 🌴   U.S. #retail per-capita availability of #pineapples has jumped from 5.4 pounds in 2010 to 7.3 pounds in 2022, according to the USDA.  U.S. #imports of all pineapples have grown more than 9% in 10 years. #CostaRica accounted for 87% of all pineapple’s imports in 2023, with the balance supplied by #Honduras, #Mexico, #Guatemala, #Ecuador, #Peru and other countries.
