What a fantastic weekend packed with events, energy, and excitement! We were thrilled to host the Horizon League Women’s Quarterfinal game between Robert Morris University and Indiana University Indianapolis. Fans witnessed an incredible game in person, and on ESPN+, with RMU taking the win in overtime! The atmosphere was electric—congrats to the team on their hard-fought victory! 🏆⚽ We also welcomed 50 young athletes to the WPYLA Pick Up & Play lacrosse event, where these future stars picked up lacrosse sticks for the first time. It’s always inspiring to see kids discover a new passion for sports! 🥍 Monday kept the momentum going as we kicked off a new session of the Riverhounds Academy Grassroots program, which had an amazing turnout with over 200 kids ready to learn and grow in the game. We even had a special visit from AMO, adding an extra spark to the day! Huge thank you to everyone who joined us—athletes, families, and fans. Together, we’re building a vibrant sports community. About us
The AHN Montour Sports Complex currently features three turfed, FIFA regulation-sized soccer and multi-purpose fields, including one full-size indoor field for year-round use that opened in 2022. Phase 4 of construction will see the addition of 2 more outdoor FIFA regulation size fields. The campus is utilized as a practice site for the Riverhounds, and it’s home base for the Riverhounds Development Academy, which annually trains more than 5,000 athletes ranging from 4-18 years old. Both the outdoor fields and indoor facility are available for rent. Events that already have been hosted at AHN Montour include matches in the Greater Pittsburgh Soccer League and Pittsburgh Hispanic Soccer League, matches and training sessions for local youth clubs in both soccer and other sports, community and charitable events, high school rentals, and more.
