We are incredibly excited to announce that Molly O'Neill has joined AIATELLA as an Advisor! Molly’s wealth of experience in strategy for multiple major health institutions including, Duke Health, Tenet Healthcare, Mass General Brigham and proven track record driving growth in venture and private equity backed MedTech, education and care delivery companies, is particularly noteworthy. Her knowledge of the inner workings of the US healthcare ecosystem fills a critical gap in our team. As we expand to North America, her insights into the unique challenges and opportunities of the within US healthcare will be invaluable. "As we continue to build upon our current cardiovascular AI applications and evidence base for our technology, it's now about delivering it to physician users and benefiting patients. By automating the time-consuming and subjective task of measurements, Radiologists and Cardiologists can focus on tasks that require their level of expertise." It's not just Molly's expertise that excites us, but also her alignment with our mission. Like us, she believes in the power of AI to genuinely improve patient outcomes by augmenting clinical workflows; and understands that we must work side-by-side with physicians on the front line to achieve this - "It's one thing to design and implement strategy at the enterprise level, but working with AIATELLA brings me back delivering solutions to the front line. AIATELLA is providing an actionable, precision medicine tool that Radiologists not only want, but need; while immediately benefitting patient care." A warm welcome to the AIATELLA team Molly!

By augmenting cardiovascular care pathways with automation, AIATELLA can directly contribute to the reduction in NHS waiting lists; even enabling ‘same day’ Diagnosis! The support of Health Innovation North East and North Cumbria has been crucial so far to understand the innovation pathway to commercialisation in the NHS. The key, we think, is that we have the same goal (improve patient outcomes) and both understand that there are many cogs to put into place to achieve this. #medtech #aiinhealthcare #cardiovasculardisease #prevention #innovation
Tackling NHS waiting lists requires local health and care teams to deliver change. We’re supporting systems to implement AI innovations which are reducing wait times and improving patient care including: ➡ Optimising data to prioritise patient waiting lists in Cheshire and Merseyside with C2-Ai Health Innovation North West Coast ➡ Speeding up access to life-saving treatment thanks to e-stroke technology in Oxford with Brainomix Health Innovation Oxford & Thames Valley ➡ Supporting earlier diagnosis of CVD with AIATELLA Health Innovation North East and North Cumbria Read more: https://lnkd.in/ef-Pj6Zq #HealthInnovationWorks

Deeptech is a high growth sector with many hyper-scalable opportunities for investors. These are several interesting ones right here in Finland that operate in the clean energy, healthcare and job market sectors, such as Elstor Oy, Soletair Power, Steady Energy, Cactos, Kuva Space, ForteAI, AIATELLA, Adamant Health, StemSight - Vision Unlimited and Marginum. #deeptech
Yet another example of European deeptech going mainstream: McKinsey & Company is giving it more love and coverage. ❤️ That sound you hear is newbie European deeptech VCs frantically screenshotting slides for their decks. LPs, get used to seeing this report, because there are a LOT of graphs and figures in here that are undoubtedly going to end up in presentations to you all. Lets. Go. Deep. Tech! 📣 🦾 🤖

"If it helps the doctors, the consultants and it helps patients, then it's definitely a good thing!" Here is the video from the recent event in which we brought together voices from across the healthcare ecosystem to discuss their perception of #AIinhealthcare, and how AIATELLA could impact the management and prevention of cardiovascular disease. With the support of Health Innovation North East and North Cumbria, we heard from patients with lived experience of cardiovascular disease, Helen Chamberlain of Benenden Health, Dr James Coey of St. George's University and our CEO Jack Parker. The key takeaways: - AI can make a huge impact if it complements Radiologists by addressing a real pain-point (such as manual measurements). - Increasing adoption of AI in healthcare, to enable HCPs to leverage these technologies, requires education. That starts with including AI in the curriculum for the education of the next generation of Doctors. - Shifting from reactive medicine to preventive, requires increasing throughput and capacity, without adding to existing clinical burden. - Patient acceptance of AI in Healthcare is on the rise, with the caveat that they are fully informed as to the role it plays in their care. The event was a testament to the exciting future of AI in healthcare. As we continue to expand the applications of our AI and the patients who could benefit, we move closer to a world where personalised and preventive care is the norm, and cardiovascular diseases are effectively managed and treated. https://lnkd.in/d6qkznV5

Measurements 📏 🫀🩻 Here’s a bit of trivia: roughly one billion radiologic examinations are performed worldwide annually, which amounts to about 2.7 million per day. 🌍📊 The effort to read, measure, interpret, and report the findings is tedious and time-consuming. 🕒😓 Measuring is one of the most essential and least liked tasks for a radiologist. “[W]e know that radiologists typically don’t like to measure… automated processing will help them make reports more objective, more precise, and contribute to the concept of precision medicine.” (🔗 Link to the interview in the comments below). This is where AIATELLA comes into the picture… (pun intended 🤨🖼️) AIATELLA (🔗 link to their site also in the comments) is a Finnish/UK startup founded by Jack Parker and Onni Eriksson, focusing on developing measurement tools for cardiovascular radiological imaging. Their AI automates manual measurements of vasculature, increasing accuracy, speed, and throughput for radiologists and their departments. 💡🖥️🫀 Their technology reduces subjectivity and variability, improving the precision of the data collected and the clinical decisions based on this information. 🎯📈 I’ve been working with Jack and Onni since last year (thanks Aape Pohjavirta for the introduction), and I am happy to share that I’ve joined their advisory team. 🙌👥 Having now made radiology AI one of my core areas of focus, I clearly see the value in AIATELLA and the impact they’ll make in the space. Happy to be along for the ride. 🚀✨ If you’re working in the #cardiovascular space, I’d definitely recommend taking a closer look at AIATELLA (and would be happy to make an introduction). 🤝🔍 #radiology #measuring ------ ------ ------ ------ 📈 💸 🎉 I am a commercialization consultant for #digitalhealth and #medtech ventures. 🎉 Exciting news from our team! - Evidence-based AI We’re thrilled to announce the recent publication of our proof-of-concept study in the Cureus Journal of Medical Science. Read it here: https://lnkd.in/d2JhAD3t We conducted the study in collaboration with the Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, supported by Northumbria University, St. George's University International School of Medicine, and University of Sunderland. Our study showcased the performance of the AIATELLA tool in the assessment of Cardiac MR imaging of the aortic root and valve. The tool was compared against three consultant cardiologists, demonstrating that it is as accurate as the cardiologists and can therefore be relied upon. What’s more, our AI tool produced results over 100x faster than the human experts in the study! This is a promising step forward for our AI, showing its potential to increase the efficiency of care delivery in Cardiovascular medicine. Our next steps are to validate our tool in a large, global cohort to demonstrate its generalisability. We’re fortunate to have research partners in the North East from the NHS, and internationally in Europe, the US, and India, who will be instrumental in this next phase. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to push the boundaries of AI in healthcare! #aiinhealthcare #radiology #evidencebased #publication
