AIG Chairman & CEO Peter Zaffino recently spoke with NBC Sports and Golf Channel host, Cara Banks, about the 2024 AIG Women’s Open at St Andrews, and our motivations for being the title sponsor of the Championship since 2019. In partnership with The R&A, AIG executed a shared vision to make the AIG Women’s Open the highest quality Major in women’s golf. Peter and Cara talked about the Championship’s key milestones – including tripling the prize money, bringing the best golfers to the most prestigious courses, and being honored with the LPGA’s Gold Driver Award for Best Player Experience.

This International Women’s Day (IWD), we recognize the power of collaboration and the role we all play in building a more inclusive workplace by highlighting our colleague María de Cabo García, Regional Senior Underwriter for AIG EMEA’s Accident & Health insurance business. Maria is also President of the AIG Iberia Women’s Employee Resource Group, where she creates learning and networking opportunities throughout the year. Maria and her colleagues are celebrating IWD by strengthening connections through a food-tasting event with a woman-owned business. Her goal is to create impactful initiatives that go beyond supporting women and empower the entire workforce. “Business and society are better off when men and women come together to learn from one another,” Maria says. #IWD2025 #AIGAllies

As we approach Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day, AIG’s Joseph Williams reminds us how small acts of service can make a big difference. As an environmental casualty underwriter and board member of AIG’s Chicago Black Professionals Employee Resource Group (ERG), he helps organize volunteering opportunities to give back to local schools and non-profits. Through programs that support teen mental health and foster children, Joe finds joy in volunteering his time and encourages colleagues to use our Company’s Volunteer Time Off Program, which provides up to 16 hours of paid time off to volunteer. “It’s important to think where and how you can help others because you never know what someone might be going through. Even the smallest actions can help build stronger, more united societies.” #LifeatAIG #MLKDay

In honor of International Day of Persons with Disabilities, AIG celebrates colleagues like Alex Gibson, whose dedication and resilience reminds us why AIG values professionals of all abilities. As EMEA Senior Capital Modeler based in London, Alex develops critical tools that help businesses and other organizations evaluate potential risks under various economic scenarios. In 2018, Alex was diagnosed with motor neurone disease (MND), also known as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), a progressive condition that compromises his motor skills, including walking and speaking. While adjusting to this life-altering disease, Alex found inspiration to support others going through the same diagnosis and founded Challenging MND, a charity that aims to support and enhance the lives of people in the UK’s MND community. “One of my goals is helping others with MND have the opportunity to create lasting memories for themselves and their families,” Alex says. A lifelong athlete, Alex participates in two or three physical challenges each year for Challenging MND, which has helped raise over £2 million to date. Among Alex’s feats were walking over 100 miles in one weekend, lifting over one million kilograms in one day, and most recently in September, swimming the length of the UK’s Lake Windermere in two days. AIG has stood by Alex during his six-year journey with MND, providing workplace accommodations as his disease progresses and sponsoring his nonprofit’s events, as well as matching colleagues’ donations 2:1 through the AIG Matching Grants Program. “I am deeply grateful to AIG and my colleagues for their unwavering support over the years,” Alex shares. “Their encouragement has allowed me to embrace my abilities and continue functioning at my best despite the challenges.” #AIGAllies
