A few thrilling memories from the Indy Autonomous Challenge at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on September 6th! 🏎️🏁 Watching university teams push the limits with the world’s fastest autonomous cars, hitting speeds over 170 mph (273 kmh), was both thrilling and nerve-wracking. 😮💨 After weeks of hard work, seeing the teams celebrate their well-deserved victories was incredible! 🎉🏆 As a proud sponsor of the Indy Autonomous Challenge, Autoware Foundation is eager to continue strengthening our partnerships with the IAC, the racing teams, industry leaders, government agencies, NGOs, and the broader racing community. 🤝🚗 We were thrilled to present Autoware Foundation’s latest advancements at the innovation paddocks, showcasing a range of autonomous vehicles, from 1:10 scale robots to full-size passenger cars for autonomous research. 🤖🚙 A special thanks to our members and partners for their showcases: 🔹David Walmroth and PIX Moving for their small-scale robotic vehicles and the #PIXKit 🔹Autonomous Motorsports Purdue for the autonomous go-kart that races in the Autonomous Karting Series (https://lnkd.in/er6Wi2zY) 🔹Purdue University and Ziran Wang for their retrofitted autonomous research vehicle We were also proud to have Samet Kütük, our Marketing Steering Committee Chair, participate in a panel discussion at the AI & Automation Summit, where he highlighted how the Autoware community collaborates through open-source technology at the "𝑺𝑰𝑴 𝒕𝒐 𝑹𝑬𝑨𝑳: 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑴𝒆𝒕𝒂𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒆 𝑴𝒆𝒆𝒕𝒔 𝑹𝒆𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒚" track. 💻🌍 It was an unforgettable event, full of meaningful connections—both old and new. 🤗🤝 Many thanks to Indy Autonomous Challenge team who pulled of amazing work to orchestrate such a complex event!
