Here at AirReps, what sets us apart is not our incredible line-up of manufacturers and products, but the people that make AirReps, AirReps! Today, we're proud to share more about a member of our Account Executive team, Ben Wallace PE! Ben says that as much as he loves his career in HVAC, it wasn't something he chose for himself- it was something that chose him! After getting married and graduating from college, Ben and his wife had to make a move to Cleveland, Ohio! Since he had already worked for Trane Oregon as an intern the summer prior, he was able to get a job at the Trane office in the Cleveland area. Once he had HVAC on his resume, he just stuck with it! That start in HVAC led him to an incredible career in HVAC, and back in 2006, Air Reps invited Ben to help open our office in Eugene, Oregon, where he spent 10 years before becoming an Account Executive and partner at Air Reps, and for the past 2 years, he's worked as an Account Executive here at AirReps! Ben shares that joining AirReps was an opportunity that he simply couldn’t pass up, it was a chance to change his career path and lifestyle. What sets AirReps apart from the rest? According to Ben, the relationships the team grows with customers, which has earned the team mutual respect and trust. It isn’t about the issues the team experiences, but about how their experience and relationships resolve the issues. As an Account Executive, Ben enjoys custom air handler applications and has sold two university chiller plants consisting of Daikin mag lev chillers and BAC cooling towers! Outside of work, Ben says that he and his wife spend much of their time with friends and large extended family, and as newbie empty nesters, their current goal is to make traveling their new hobby! It's always a blast when we have the opportunity to share more about the people who make AirReps such an incredible place to work. Today, we're sharing more about Matt Adkins, our Director of Engineering! ⭐️ After graduating from Cal Poly, SLO, Matt joined the Trane Company and participated in the Trane training class in Lacrosse, WI, before being assigned to the Los Angeles office. Shortly after, he worked for Carrier Corp. and then transitioned to the rep life with a water-based rep firm named K.H. Watts. Then, back in 2001, he moved to Seattle and joined the AirReps family, where he's been ever since, and for that, we're pretty lucky! Matt says that AirReps feels like a fraternity of people. It's very life-oriented and not just about work. He shares that at AirReps, he feels that we excel at work, but make sure that we enjoy the process of keeping our customers happy and wanting to do business with us as well! Matt has had the chance to watch and be a part of the growth for the last 23 years and shares that AirReps continues to hold to the traditions of enjoying while working. At work, Matt enjoys selling based on knowledge, as well as relationships. He says it's been fun to be a part of every product AirReps represents at some point in his career. Some of his favorite moments have been designing projects that no other rep could accomplish - even if they wanted to. 👀 Outside of the office, Matt enjoys having dogs, scuba diving, traveling, and spending family time - all with his favorite, a jalapeno margarita - in hand! 🐶🤿✈️ #hvac #hvacr #hvactech #hvaclife #hvacengineer #engineers #hvacengineers #engineer #hvaccompany #hvacjobs

A little update from our Student Activities Committee, Emily Osurman and Michelle Fouard: We had a fantastic weekend tabling at the first annual Georgetown Steam Plant Science Fair on Sunday, Sept. 22! It was a great opportunity to connect with the local community and receive valuable feedback. The UW Seattle Student Branch also kicked off its year with the Engineering Launch on Tuesday, Sept. 24, with over 20 students joining our mailing list! 🎉 Many thanks to Custom Mechanical Solutions, LLC and AirReps for providing equipment and models for our demos. Looking ahead: We’re seeking volunteers for virtual resume reviews and in-person mock interviews at UW Seattle. Plus, if you’d like to give a technical presentation to engage college students, please reach out! The time commitment is about 2 hours in the winter or spring quarters (flexible dates). Interested?
