Exciting news for Michigan's advanced aerial mobility sector! The State of Michigan has announced over $6 million in funding to four projects advancing #AAM technologies and infrastructure across the state, demonstrating #Michigan's commitment to #advancedairmobility innovation. We're thrilled that Michigan Central , home to #AirspaceLink at Newlab, has been awarded $2.45 million as part of this grant to expand the capabilities of the Advanced Aerial Innovation Region (#AAIR). As a key strategic partner in this initiative, Airspace Link is running fast to drive the development and deployment of cutting-edge AAM technologies in our home city and state.   “These investments create high-tech jobs, grow cutting-edge businesses, and enhance quality of life for our residents," said Lt. Governor Garlin Gilchrist II. The City of Arlington, TX is fast becoming one of the most drone-forward cities in America, in partnership with Airspace Link’s #FlySafe Program, supporting innovative drone integration in the city. Arlington has an ambitious mobility agenda, with a strong focus on innovation to deliver smart solutions to its 400,000 residents. Working across multiple city agencies, Airspace Link has teamed with the Arlington to organize and maximize drone efforts community-wide, delivering guidance and technical support to navigate the rapidly evolving landscape of municipal drone readiness.   Recently, Airspace Link collaborated with key leaders in the city’s Transportation department to help secure a significant U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) grant, enabling a municipal pilot program that will include food deliveries from a local food bank to traditionally underserved city neighborhoods.   As part of the FlySafe Program, Airspace Link is also supporting Arlington Police Department's UAS team, helping to power their Drones as First Responder (DFR) leadership with our #AirHub® Portal platform, approved by the Federal Aviation Administration to provide B4UFLY services and LAANC approvals. Arlington’s impressive efforts keep expanding, with growing interest from surrounding North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG) communities, as well as other future-focused technology providers.
