While this is an pressing issue for our industry as a whole, it seems it is one we have been blessed to not face regularly like other parts of the country. However, let's not take it for granted and ensure we are focused on the men and women building our roads and bridges daily. #mentalhealthawareness #constructionfamily #TheRoadAhead #buildingalabamasfuture

Huge turnout last night in Gardendale for businesses, citizens, local governments, and advocacy groups to learn more about the next phase of the Beltline and the Corridor in general. Nice turnout from our B’ham members, and we had the opportunity to express our support along with Congressman Gary Palmer and the Coalition for Regional Transportation how the Beltline will improve transportation access and stimulate economic development for the area, which supports the goals of the Governor, Lt. Governor, and Legislature with The Game Plan and Working for Alabama legislative packages. Now, let’s use these dedicated federal funds and move forward with building the next phase! #InfrastructureInvestment #economicdevelopment #IIJA #TheRoadAhead #buildingalabamasfuture

A few pictures, thanks to Governor Kay Ivey's photographer, from today's ribbon-cutting for the new bridge over SR-69 for Project BR-HSIP-0005(534) in Jasper built by Wright Brothers Construction Company, Inc. Great message today from the Governor, Congressman Robert Aderholt, and Senator Greg Reed on infrastructure investment, whether IIJA or Rebuild Alabama Act funds and their impacts on local communities. Some good discussions with the Congressman and Senator Reed afterwards as well as representatives from Senator Tommy Tuberville and Senator Katie Boyd Britt's staff talking about the importance of infrastructure investment through IIJA funds. A big shoutout to Chris Brown and all the WBCC crew for getting the bridge completed approximately 4 months early and minimizing the impact to the Jasper community. #MembersInAction #IIJA #bridgeconstruction #buildingalabamasfuture #TheRoadAhead

Congratulations to Associate Member Thomas Hand, Chairman of the Board and CEO of Volkert, Inc., for being named by Governor Kay Ivey as one of six members to the new Executive Committee for workforce development that is the result of the Working for Alabama legislative package. In addition, Chris "Elroy Stricklin of the Dunn Construction family of companies was named by the Governor to the new Alabama Workforce Board. These two leaders should give our industry a voice at the table as these two groups seek to expand workforce development and improve the state's labor participation rate. #WorkforceDevelopment #workingforalabama #IndustryLeadership #membershiprepresentation #TheRoadAhead #buildingalabamasfuture

Our Congressional delegation's discussions about infrastructure spending were spot-on, especially Rep. Sewell's quote below supporting our message of the importance of infrastructure investment as the key for the success of the Game Plan and Working for Alabama legislative packages. “Infrastructure is the basic foundation for economic development and growth,” Rep. Terri Sewell, D-Birmingham, told the record crowd of elected officials and business and association leaders. #InfrastructureInvestment #economicdevelopment #FoundationforGrowth #TheRoadAhead #buildingalabamasfuture
