Alameda Health System is the East Bay's premier patient and family-centered care system. Our trauma center and teaching hospital are considered among the best in the country.     Please join us in celebrating the addition of Raquel Aldridge to AHS. Raquel has oversight of the Emergency Department and the Intensive Care Unit. She comes to us with over 10 years of nursing and leadership experience in both Level 1 and Level 2 Trauma Centers with a background in both emergency and critical care nursing. Raquel graduated with distinction as Summa Cum Laude when obtaining both her BSN and her MSN. She is currently enrolled in the Doctorate of Health Administration Program at Capella University. Raquel has also achieved Yellow Belt Certification in in Lean Sigma Six Practices and is AACN certified. She is an innovative, proven, and driven leader, invested in driving quality and process improvement through evidenced based practice and she is very excited for the opportunity to contribute to our mission of caring , healing, teaching, serving all.

    Please join us in welcoming Angela Smith-Johnson, our Clinical Director of Nursing Services, to Alameda Health System. Angela will have oversight of the Step-Down Unit, the Telemetry Unit, the Medical-Surgical Units and the Wound Care Program at the Wilma Chan Highland Hospital. Angela earned her MSN from San Francisco State University and is pursuing a Doctorate of Nursing Practice with Chamberlain University. Throughout Angela’s nursing leadership career, her passion for evidence-based practice and developing leaders and teams has improved patient and staff experience across departments and facilities while driving quality outcomes, improving workflows, and promoting individual and organizational growth.
