The ISC2 Alamo Chapter was created to provide peer networking for ISC2 credentialed professionals as well as non-credentialed professionals and to promote professional development opportunities for members and other information security specialists within the local communities to advance the field of information security. In November 2011 (ISC)² granted a chapter charter petition for a chapter in San Antonio, Texas. After much work on May 14, 2012 (ISC)2 approved the official charter for the Baltimore Chapter (Chapter #28).

BLUF: A Hacking Demonstration. A step-by-step walkthrough of a series of common, low severity, often risk-accepted vulnerabilities in corporate networks and how we string them together into an attack - going from knowing nothing to having remote access into the network and then finding and exporting the most sensitive of data. The presentation will demonstrate the ease of discovery and exploitation, without the need for social engineering or anything sophisticated. Each step of the attack chain will be demonstrated from the attacker’s side, and recommendations provided that can help mitigate and detect the activity. Most organizations are vulnerable to this attack. Attack techniques will include: Recon, User Enumeration, Password Spraying, MFA bypasses, Privilege Escalation, Lateral Movement, Finding and Collecting Sensitive Data, Defeating DLP, Exfil, and more.

Guinn (CTO, SBIR Advisors) to share with us about the SBIR Advisors and their role in helping companies get their technology / capabilities in front of potential customers utilizing the DoD SBIR/STTR Program Office process. After the discussions, the CyManII | Cybersecurity Manufacturing Innovation Institute Team provided a tour of their Manufacturing and Operational Technology Lab area and their Mobile Training Vehicle where they conduct myriad of cybersecurity training for a myriad of cyber incidents.
