Hey all, BIG NEWS: Spiff has entered into a definitive agreement to be acquired by Salesforce! 🎊 🚀 👏 😁 We couldn’t be more thrilled!!! You can learn more about the announcement here: https://lnkd.in/gmsvMS_X. When we started Spiff ~6 years ago, Salesforce was our dream acquirer. The Salesforce team members we have worked with over the last ~2 years from Salesforce Ventures to the business and M&A teams have validated that we had the right dream. I believe entrepreneurs shouldn’t celebrate funding rounds since they can take your eye off of creating value for your customers. As much as we feel we have accomplished over the last 6 years, we’re just getting started. So I feel similarly about this transition for Spiff. We still have so much to accomplish for our customers and our long-term vision. Here’s what we WILL celebrate: joining Salesforce will help us turbo charge our ability to meet our customer’s needs even better going forward. We know you have choices and earning your ongoing trust is our biggest priority. To our first customers Lucid Software, Weave, and ExpertVoice, we will never forget what you have done for us. Spiff owes this success 100% to our team. So to the Spiff team, please know I’m convinced you are the best team in the world. We’ve created an environment together where we can create the best work of our careers. I’m confident we will continue to push that work forward at Salesforce once the deal closes. Last week Transfr announced that we closed our Series C. It’s an important milestone for the company because it provides 3rd party validation that investors believe that what we are building adds value. In the early days prospective investors would always ask me, “Are you a non-profit?” I would always leave those meetings scratching my head wondering “do people think enabling everyone to get on a pathway to success is charitable work?” At Transfr, our employees, customers and investors share the view, mission and values that enabling everyone to pursue a pathway to upward career mobility and ultimately to (financial) independence is fundamental for a high functioning society. Many gave their lives to allow us to live freely. The least we can do is carry the torch to ensure that we create a system that allows everyone an opportunity to do so.
