⚠ Emerging Threat ⚠ On September 26, Fortra’s Threat Research and Content teams responded rapidly to a zero-day threat involving Unix system vulnerabilities via CUPS. Detection content was created within 90 minutes of the PoC exploits being publicized. The Alert Logic SOC is actively reviewing the signatures for compromise as part of structured threat hunting activities while automated detection is evaluated. At the time of this post on September 30, our SOC has not identified any instances of attack or compromise in our MDR and XDR customer base.
