Customer experience is always a big piece of the puzzle.
Paradox of choice is a common challenge when shopping for eyewear. The overwhelming sight of walls covered in hundreds of frames often leads customers to make multiple visits before making a selection. It's not uncommon for them to seek a second opinion by bringing a friend or family member along. How would you rearrange an Eyecare provider's, or your, space to address these important issues?

Designing for a better future. This is Allen Atelier.
As a designer, there is an opportunity to make a difference and move things forward to a better future. As luck would have it, I was able to partner with WAVE Drowning Prevention Systems to design and develop the next generation of the headset tracker that identifies when a swimmer is in trouble. Not only did we redesign this piece of wearable technology, but we adopted 3D printing technology to eliminate tooling cost and create a supply on demand business model that is also very sustainable. A big shout out to King Children and what they are doing for 3D printing!

Dreaming of the future is a requirement if you want to get there.
A year ago today the final tweaks were prepped to reveal our collaboration between King Children and ZEISS Group at Vision Expo for the future of performance. We showcased new ideas where alternative eyewear manufacturing meets top end lens design. I'm looking forward to seeing what types of evolution have taken place since then. Stoked to see what MTRLobjects and Tech Print Industries - The Future of Eyewear have to showcase at this year

This is Allen Atelier.
2023 was a year of enormous learning for me. I set out with a goal of pursuing the work I love and I hit the nail on the head. Rheos opened the doors for me to redefine their product and brand. An entirely new collection, new lenses, packaging, displays, and a few more new concepts yet to be released. Design from the ground up with all new signifiers. I'm beyond proud of what we have done. Keep an eye on Rheos Gear, they will be big.
