STOP THE KILLING OF PUERTO RICO CATS ❗ ON OCTOBER 1, 2024, the U.S. National Park Service will start acting to round up community cats in Puerto Rico. Cats will be killed if the NPS isn't stopped. Alley Cat Allies filed a historic lawsuit against the NPS in March and we won't back down with these cats' lives on the line. But we need you with us. Watch, share, protect the cats of the Paseo del Morro: alleycat.org/PuertoRico

Critical #TNR information: NEVER leave a set humane trap unattended, for the safety of community cats and to make sure your equipment is not taken or tampered with. Observe from a location far enough away that the cats will not be disturbed, but close enough to see all the traps. Cats in traps should be immediately moved to a temperature controlled area to ensure they are not at risk of cruelty or impacted by the weather (especially in summer and winter). ADOPTED! 🥳 Bean found her forever home after spending plenty of time under Alley Cat Allies' care. Even as she received veterinary treatment, she never lost her jumping bean energy and high spirits. Now, Bean is brightening every day for her new family! THANK YOU for helping us provide cats and kittens like Bean access to critical veterinary care. We couldn't do it without our supporters like you! If you'd like to help us save more cats' lives, learn how you can act at alleycat.org/WaysToGive

Today is a day to remember the cats in our lives who have since passed on. The cats who were our steadfast companions, the community cats who were a fixture of our communities—they all have a profound impact on us and deserve to be honored. We at Alley Cat Allies are remembering Scooter, who passed away early this year after a long and happy life in his outdoor home on the Atlantic City Boardwalk. To all of our supporters who shared a bond with a cat now gone, thank you for your compassion and love.

We had a great time meeting the amazing students behind Tulane University Campus Cats—the group caring for the community cats living on university grounds! Tulane's campus cats have been spayed or neutered through #TNR and are something of celebrities among the student body and faculty. We came ready with cat food and educational materials to share—and we were honored to learn that Alley Cat Allies resources have helped inform the university's program. And, of course, we had the honor of meeting Jeffrey, Boots, Picasso, and more of the Tulane's beloved community cats! Campus cat programs are an important way to both protect the cats who live outdoors on school grounds and educate students and faculty alike on #TNR, the only humane and effective approach to community cats. It's the perfect way to enrich a campus community, for the good of its human AND feline members!

Happy #FeralTuesday! Today, let's educate friends, family, shelters, veterinarians, and communities about Trap-Neuter-Return (#TNR). TNR is the only humane and effective approach to community cats. Through this lifesaving process, community cats (unowned cats who live outdoors) are humanely trapped, spayed or neutered, eartipped, and vaccinated at a veterinary clinic, then returned to the exact location they were trapped. TNR is mainstream across the United States and all over the world. It’s considered best practice and is sound public policy! Learn the steps to TNR at alleycat.org/TNRGuide

Thanks to our supporters like you, Alley Cat Allies can answer the call to protect cats across the U.S.! Honey, Darla Mae, Reggie, Rowdy, and Teddy are among many cats we've helped in Mississippi this year. From #TNR, vaccinations, and other needed veterinary care to food, we've helped to provide it all so these cats and kittens can thrive. We're so grateful to you for making it possible! Your support means everything to us and to the cats and kittens we save: alleycat.org/Donate
