We celebrated another groundbreaking this week for the new Odyssey Climbing and Fitness located in the Town of Grand Chute! It was a family affair with three generations coming together to celebrate this milestone. Attendees even had the chance to get a taste of the action by climbing the portable rock wall, adding to the excitement of the day! This will be the Odyssey's second location, with the first one in Green Bay. As the general contractor we are honored to be part of this incredible journey to bring top-notch climbing and fitness facilities to the Fox Cities community. Our team is dedicated to delivering a state-of-the-art facility drawn by our partners at Gries Architectural Group, Inc. This facility will cater to both seasoned climbers and beginners alike. Another beautiful day for a groundbreaking! ☀ Silverstone Memory Care is expanding! We've just initiated construction on their second facility in the Appleton area. Once complete, the new community based residential facility (CBRF) will include 42-residential units and amenities like an outdoor patio space and walking path for residents to enjoy. It has been a pleasure working with Ted Hunt of GreenWin Development Group and the folks at Silverstone Memory Care to bring this project to life. Play ball! ⚾ It was indeed a beautiful night to host the Northeast Wisconsin (NEW) Construction Alliance summer social at Fox Cities Stadium. The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers were victorious, beating the West Michigan Whitecaps 3-2 in extra innings. Joey Ortiz - 3B Milwaukee Brewers - made an injury rehabilitation start that night. He has been on the Brewers' injury list since July 3rd with a neck injury. He was 0-2 with a walk. It was also Friends night which provided for some fun entertainment as well! We are proud to support our community and contribute to events that bring us all together. Here's to many more nights of baseball and camaraderie! At Alliance Construction and Design we're not just dedicated to building great projects, but also to ensuring the safety and well-being of our team. As we observe National Safety Month, we want to highlight our commitment to preventing injuries in the workplace. As the mercury rises, so does the risk of heat-related illnesses on our jobsites. With the warm weather we had a recent toolbox talk on heat exposure. 🔥 There are 5 key measures to heat safety awareness: Rest When Needed: Ensure workers have the means to rest when needed or when symptoms of heat-related illness begin. 🛌 Provide Shade: Consider providing small portable tents for workers to work under or step into to get out of the sun if no natural shade is available. 🏕️ Stay Hydrated: Keep water and electrolytes handy to maintain hydration levels. Remember, thirst isn’t a good indicator of hydration. 💦 Acclimatization: Allow workers to acclimate, especially when there are quick upswings in heat indexes, workers are new to the trades, or coming off time off. 🌡️ Education and Training: Train workers on how to prepare their bodies, the amount of hydration needed, symptoms to look out for, and first aid measures to take. 📚 Let’s all work together to prevent heat-related illnesses and ensure a safe and healthy workplace! #AllianceBuilds #NationalSafetyMonth #HeatSafety #WorkplaceWellness
