Networking With a Charitable Purpose

About us

In 2016 in the back of an Uber in NYC I was thinking out loud to friend. I am fortunate to have several successful women in my life who have supported me through the illness and subsequent death of my father. All these women were important to me, but none of them knew each other. I knew introducing them to each other would be beneficial for all their businesses (once a recruiter always a recruiter) – that morphed into a networking event. BUT – I wanted to network with a greater purpose. I wanted to create a new, unique way for successful women to network while giving back, and the Alliance of Women Executives (AWE) was formed. The mission of the Alliance of Women Executives (AWE) is to bring like-minded women together to share business experience and knowledge as well as promote higher education for the next generation of women through academic scholarships. AWE is the realization of a vision to connect women in a meaningful way while making an impact on future generations. We do this by offering $1500 scholarships & a new laptop to young women who continue their education locally. The members of AWE meet monthly to network & also monthly for lunch. Lunchtime networking is a time for members to get to know one another on a more personal level & explore common interests while turning professional acquaintances into friendships. The relationships formed combined with our philanthropic vision are what makes AWE & our scholarship program succeed. The Alliance of Women Executives scholarships are designed to support young women who live in and choose to or need to stay in Palm Beach County to attend college. As executive women who live in the Palm Beaches, we believe it is our duty to support the next generation of women. Through higher education students learn skills that stay with them throughout their lives, thus enabling them to soar. We are proud to assist these young women as they invest in their future through education.

  • Continuing our series, “You Asked, We Answered” - The Alliance of Women Executives (AWE) goal is to provide clear, insightful answers to your questions. Part 5 - How many scholarships have you awarded? Do the students receive other gifts? AWE has awarded 127 scholarships and is committed to providing comprehensive support to young women in Palm Beach County as they transition from high school to higher education. Our support extends beyond financial scholarships to include a range of resources designed to equip students for academic and personal success. Here’s an overview of the multifaceted support our students receive: Technology Access: AWE includes a new laptop as part of our support package for students. Access to a reliable laptop is crucial for academic work, including research, writing papers and participating in online classes. Providing students with a new laptop ensures they have the technology necessary to fully engage with their coursework and complete assignments efficiently. The Class of 2024 received a complimentary one-year membership to the Young Professionals Group at the Boynton Beach Online Chamber. This membership offers valuable networking opportunities, professional development resources and access to events designed to connect young professionals with local business leaders and peers. As part of our commitment to supporting students' personal milestones, our students receive an invitation to shop for formalwear. This opportunity helps students prepare for special events such as prom or other formal occasions. Having access to appropriate formalwear can enhance students’ confidence and make important events more enjoyable and memorable. Through our holistic support approach, we empower students to excel academically, professionally and personally, ultimately contributing to their overall growth and success.
