Thanks for the comments and reactions. I really believe if companies saw the amount of effort that takes place and the knowledge and expertise that exists at alliantgroup to properly conduct these studies, they would agree. I'm a strong believer in human judgement when it comes to the complexity of qualifying activities within a complex integrated solution. As always, thanks for the incredible partnership and ongoing support of NSCA.
📣 NSCA members, listen up: AI-driven R&D providers are popping up to help companies complete their R&D credit studies. But these AI firms give off a “DIY” approach to an R&D credit study. According to them, you do all the legal analysis to find out which of your projects qualify. You figure out how much time each of your employees spent on each project. Then, you put that information into AI to calculate your credit. In other words: Think twice before you decide to work with a provider like this and spend some time researching your options. The IRS recommends that you stay away, and two former IRS commissioners are saying it’s a mistake. The Washington Post says AI is wrong 50% of the time when it comes to complex tax questions. We understand the importance of getting your R&D credit studies right, which is why we recommend alliantgroup to our members. (Many integrators have taken advantage of what this credit offers. Learn more about it here: https://lnkd.in/e3VT_9Nt. ) We don’t recommend putting all your unvetted projects into AI and letting it tell you what qualifies. That sounds like a fast way to get audited. https://lnkd.in/dK8xcMHQ
