Allied Digestive Health is proud to share the results of a study conducted by Avalere, which found that independent medical practices, supported by private equity-backed management services organizations, demonstrate lower Medicare expenditures, reduced patient days, and fewer emergency department visits compared to hospitals. The study reveals significant insights: Lower Medicare Expenditures: Medicare expenditures for beneficiaries in private equity-affiliated private practices across five medical specialties were on average 9.8% lower than for similar patients in hospital-affiliated practices in 2022. High-Quality Care: Medicare beneficiaries in private equity-affiliated private practices had, on average, 13.5% fewer days in the hospital and 7.9% fewer visits to the emergency department in 2022 than similar patients of hospital-affiliated physicians. These findings highlight the critical role of the American Independent Medical Practice Association and its commitment to advocating for the sustainability and success of independent medical practices in delivering high-quality care. #AIMPA #Gastroenterology #Quality #PatientCare

This week marked the grand opening of our state-of-the-art pathology lab in West Long Branch, NJ! Special thanks to Congressman Frank Pallone Jr. for cutting the ribbon and discussing how Congress can improve patient care with accurate and timely diagnoses. Our new pathology lab will allow us to bring advanced diagnostic services and enhanced capabilities to our community.
