Today we celebrate everything that makes Allwyn North America great – our leadership, purpose, culture, and, most importantly, our PEOPLE! We’re proud to announce our certification establishing Allwyn North America as a Great Place To Work US 2024. This is a global celebration of #GPTWCertified workplaces that put their people first. We’re thrilled to once again be included as a certified Great Place to Work and will continue to build an outstanding organization.

This week, Allwyn was thrilled to celebrate the Illinois Lottery’s 50th Anniversary Reception alongside the Department of Lottery. It was a fun-filled reception to reflect on the Lottery’s past, celebrate recent performance, and share stories with retail partners, Illinois General Assembly members, State government representatives, and our specialty causes, including UNCF, breast cancer, Special Olympics Illinois, and many more partners and guests. It was our way of saying Thank You to some of the people who helped make the Lottery what it is today. We couldn’t be celebrating such a monumental milestone without each and every one of you. Cheers to the next 50!

It's great having members of our team at the Global Gaming Expo (G2E) 2024! Did you attend this year? What were your thoughts on the Expo?

Allwyn North America was a proud sponsor of the 67th Annual Meeting and 2024 Retailer of the Year Luncheon hosted by Illinois Retail Merchants Association (IRMA) last week. The IRMA Luncheon is an annual event to celebrate retail in Illinois and the daily impact it makes for communities across the state. The retail industry is the second largest source of revenue for the state and is an economic anchor in Illinois. We are honored to work with over 7,000 retailers across the state of Illinois. Allwyn is a proud member of the World Lottery Association and recently Rebecca Vykydal, Corporate Social Responsibility Specialist, attended the  The European Lotteries (EL) & World Lottery Association (WLA)  Sustainability and Responsible Gaming Seminar: “Shaping the Future of Lotteries” in Dublin, Ireland. Hosted by Premier Lotteries Ireland, the Seminar explored groundbreaking insights about sustainability, responsible gaming, and new technologies that will help shape the future of the gaming industry. “As we look to continuously strengthen our responsible gaming program, it was inspiring to learn how others in the gaming industry are maintaining sustainability and responsibility as top priorities for their lotteries and players,” shared Vykydal of her experience. Nicole Garrett, Head of Responsible Gaming at Allwyn, presented on how digital technology will transform the player experience, driving increased engagement with players and responsibility in the gaming sector.

Members of Allwyn North America’s senior leadership team attended the Allwyn company summit last month. #WinningTogether is a major value at Allwyn and was the theme of this year’s summit. As a global lottery-led gaming business, it’s hugely valuable to connect senior Allwyn leaders across six different markets to focus on driving strategies for our continued success. It was an inspirational few days exploring opportunities to drive business value for the lottery industry by strategically utilizing AI. Keith Horton, Andrew Lang, and Marisa Zimmerman, shared an overview of recent growth in the Illinois market through Instant Ticket performance and Fast Play evolution, and provided a tantalizing glance into the future… 

We are thrilled to announce Monika McMahon, Director of Digital at Allwyn North America, has been featured in Built In Chicago's latest article: "Women Following their Passions to Break Barriers in Tech." The inspiring article highlights women in Chicago who have built thriving careers in tech, sharing their journeys, challenges, and what first sparked their passion for the industry. Monika’s story is a testament to her incredible dedication and leadership in the digital space. We couldn’t be prouder to see her recognized alongside other trailblazing women in the tech community.

We are thrilled to announce our very own Lorell Lynch, MSPR Lynch, Director of Public Affairs, Community Outreach, and Events at Allwyn North America, recently won a Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) 2024 Skyline Award in Public Affairs for her meaningful work on the “Play with Purpose® Illinois Lottery” brand, in collaboration with Flowers Communications Group and Danyele Cheatham Davis, M.A. Congratulations Lorell, you are a superstar and we’re lucky to have you!

Last week, Allwyn North America had the honor of sponsoring the 10th Annual Chicago Latino Caucus Foundation Gala at the Bridgeport Art Center, attended by our very own Lorell Lynch, MSPR. Led by Executive Director Micaela Vargas, the Chicago Latino Caucus Foundation promotes the education and upward mobility of Latino youth throughout Chicago by increasing access to college, internships, and mentorships that help lead to a successful career. Since partnering with the Foundation in 2019, Allwyn shows its dedication to empowering the Latino community to help individuals pursue their dreams of higher education, and supporting funding of college scholarships for Latino youth in Chicago.
