Great news! 📢 Lockheed Martin collaborated with us to achieve a highly accelerated flight demonstration schedule in under 12 months for an EW Unmanned Air Vehicle (UAV) using our Agilex 9 Direct RF FPGA. This groundbreaking demonstration showcases the device’s readiness to perform real-world missions. ✈️ To learn more, check out the press release: https://lnkd.in/gkKmJSCb
Last Friday, Lockheed Martin had the opportunity to gather with Department of Defense and industry leaders, to celebrate a milestone in our effort to further the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering's State-of-the-Art Heterogeneous Integrated Packaging (SHIP) program and the ongoing need for sustainable U.S.-made microelectronics. Working with Altera, an Intel Company, we used their MCP-2 microchip to conduct a flight test using a UAV, and combined it with our 12th Generation Electronic Warfare (Gen 12) transceiver. This demonstration, called the SHIP-enabled Wideband Transceiver Integrated Flight Test (SWIFT), successfully proved the ability to perform electronic warfare missions. The event serves as an innovative example of how size, weight and power constrained airborne platforms can be used to deliver POWERFUL electronic warfare effects. I am beyond proud to be part of this collaboration and see the transformative influence firsthand as we approach a new era of electronic warfare capabilities.
