Michelle Alonso is the Alzheimer’s Impact Movement’s October Advocate of the Month! As a volunteer with the Alzheimer’s Association National Capital Area Chapter, Michelle answered phones and participated in community outreach. Originally, Michelle was reluctant to become an advocate. “I’m just a girl from Louisiana, I know zero about politics. It’s not my comfort zone.” Her mindset changed in 2017 when she attended her first Hill Day. “I went [once] and I was hooked.” Now Michelle uses her voice to advocate for families like hers who have been impacted by Alzheimer’s and dementia. bit.ly/3XL7TMI
