About the South Carolina Chapter: The Alzheimer's Association South Carolina Chapter is the result of a 2006 merger of the Upstate South Carolina Chapter and the Palmetto Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association. The unified statewide chapter serves the entire state of South Carolina through a network of local offices. Our mission: To eliminate Alzheimer's disease through the advancement of research; to provide and enhance care and support for all affected; and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health.
