⭐ Transforming Waste into Opportunity ⭐ We at Amatec are excited to announce that EuroChem has chosen to partner with us as a client to explore the potential of transforming phosphogypsum—a major industrial byproduct—into a sustainable alternative to cementitious concrete. This partnership represents a significant milestone as we continue to pursue our mission of making precast concrete cheaper, faster, more sustainable, and stronger everywhere—regardless of the source of gypsum that we tap into to make that happen. #phosphogypsum #waste #concrete

For every ton of phosphoric acid produced, approximately 4.5 to 5 tons of phosphogypsum are generated as a byproduct. The U.S. phosphate industry produces more phosphogypsum annually than the total output of the nation's gypsum industry. Yet, despite its abundance, the gypsum industry often opts for natural gypsum or synthetic gypsum, leaving phosphogypsum largely underutilized. At Amatec, we’re changing that. By transforming gypsum into a suitable alternative for conventional (OPC) concrete, we’re tapping into a market that’s far larger than traditional gypsum applications. This breakthrough not only enables complete recycling of phosphogypsum waste but also eliminates the need for vast storage facilities and outdoor stacks —ushering in a sustainable and commercially viable future. 💡♻️ Dean A. Last week, Amatec had the opportunity to test scaling the production of HDG concrete with the largest residential precast home builder in Texas. In this pilot, we've been able to demonstrate the rapid and adjustable nature of HDG concrete's setting time, zero usage of cement and versatility in design (this time we went with a marble-like finish). A special shoutout to Steve Butler and his team from Arcosa Specialty Materials for contributing a pallet of gypsum to the demo. If you'd like to learn more, feel free to reach out to me or my team at Amatec. #Precast #Concrete #Gypsum #Pilot

This is what fast-curing concrete from Amatec looks like. Non-cementitious, high strength and self-levelling properties ideal for precast applications. We call it, HDG (High-Density Gypsum) concrete. If you'd like to learn more, feel free to contact me or the Amatec team.
