In all 50 states, at every level of government, and across every sector of the economy, we must go #AllInOnClimate
About us
America Is All In (All In) is the most expansive coalition of leaders ever assembled in support of climate action in the United States. Mobilizing thousands of U.S. cities, states, tribal nations, businesses, schools, and faith, health, and cultural institutions, the coalition is working alongside the federal government to develop a national climate strategy that meets the urgency of the climate crisis; scaling climate action around the country to empower workers and communities; and promoting the leadership of non-federal actors on the world stage. Led by UN Special Envoy Mike Bloomberg, Washington Governor Jay Inslee, Charlotte Mayor Vi Lyles, Apple Vice President of Environment, Policy and Social Initiatives Lisa Jackson, and former White House National Climate Advisor and 13th U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator Gina McCarthy, and climate champions across the country, the coalition is working to cut U.S. emissions in half by 2030 and reach net zero emissions by 2050, while guarding against the impacts of climate disruption. Coupled with whole-of-government action on climate, All In champions a whole-of-society mobilization to deliver the transformational change that science demands, with the goal of a healthy, prosperous, equitable, and sustainable future. To stay apprised on the coalition's work to advance climate action and accelerate the clean energy transition, visit our website (americaisallin.com) and follow us on LinkedIn (@America Is All In), Instagram (@americaisallin), and X (@americaisallin).

With #CleanEnergy jobs expanding at twice the rate of overall U.S. employment last year, it’s important now more than ever to have workforce development programs in place that can train workers to fill those jobs. Philadelphia’s Energy Coordinating Agency (ECA) is one such place, training young adults to weatherize and retrofit homes through their Green Retrofit Immersive Training (GRIT) program. “We try to create jobs here that make a great living. You get a good skillset that can change your life and give you…generational wealth,” ECA’s lead instructor Jackie Robinson said when #AmericaIsAllIn visited the GRIT program's last commencement ceremony this summer. Learn more about how cities across the country can develop workforce and apprenticeship programs that can transform lives ➡️ https://lnkd.in/eBMtmZ58
"We got each other through this," said Amanda R who graduated from ECA's GRIT program yesterday, and was also the elected program manager for the cohort's internship. It's not always easy to make it to graduation day! Our Green Renovation Immersive Training is tough - it's a lot of information to learn quickly and then put to use immediately in an internship with Friends Rehabilitation Program. But these 20 students picked each other up and made sure that their fellow trainees understood the material and mastered the carpentry, electrical, and energy efficiency skills. After an 18-week program, they all made it to graduation with five new construction credentials to serve them in their new careers! Thank you to Chief of Staff, Carlyn Crawley, from the office of Councilmember Quetcy Lozada for attending and inspiring our graduates, and to Philadelphia Energy Authority who helps make this program possible. If you'd like to be in our next training, you can sign-up to learn more about ECA's programs here: https://lnkd.in/eUux6K29

Climate action is critical across all levels and sectors of society in order to achieve our climate goals in the United States.🌎 A new report released at #ClimateWeekNYC by the Center for Global Sustainability finds that the U.S. can cut GHG emissions by 65% by 2035. This target is critical as the U.S. and countries around the world will soon set their 2035 Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs). #AmericaIsAllIn members shared the perspectives of cities, states, businesses, and more in this research, and recognize that non-federal climate leadership is key to ambitious U.S. climate goals. 🔗Read the report: https://lnkd.in/gnU-bvnU

What’s the most powerful and proven technology to accelerate climate action? According to Apple's Lisa Jackson, it’s nature. Biodiversity loss and climate change are inextricably linked. You can’t solve one without the other. That’s why nature-based solutions are so powerful as they both mitigate emissions and build resilience for local communities. It was inspiring to hear from WWF’s CEO Carter Roberts and Lisa Jackson - VP for Environment, Policy, and Social Initiatives at Apple – talk about the importance of nature, government regulation, and corporate leadership to address the climate crisis at The Nest Climate Campus. And as Lisa said, no matter the technological response to a climate problem, without community engagement it simply won’t work. As co-chair of America Is All In and former administrator of the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Lisa understands that a whole-of-society approach is critical for getting this right. America Is All In is the most expansive coalition of climate leaders ever assembled in support of U.S. climate action. Learn more about the #AmericaIsAllIn coalition at https://lnkd.in/d7s3ZUN
