Congratulations to the AAM-accredited New England Botanic Garden at Tower Hill for receiving a $250,000 museum grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services! This grant will help to enhance their living collections management with an inventory and mapping project, as part of their ongoing work to make information about the garden even more enriching and accessible for all. 🌿 We're excited to see the positive impacts made possible by these awards!
We’re excited to announce that the Garden was awarded a grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services! This grant will allow the Garden to implement a collection inventory and mapping project that strengthens the management and care of our plant records while improving staff, and eventually public, access to information about the living plant collections. Our team eagerly anticipates the successful implementation of these enhancements, and we look forward to providing more information on this project as it progresses. The 2024 Annual Snapshot of US Museums—launched by AAM this month—will close this week! Take the Snapshot survey by August 31, or learn below how your museum can receive the survey if you haven't already. The 2024 Snapshot is pivotal for raising public awareness about museums, developing advocacy and benchmarking tools, and guiding AAM in creating resources that meet your needs. Previous iterations of the survey have been instrumental in securing billions in relief funding and supporting museums during these challenging times. For a deeper understanding of the pandemic’s impact on our sector and how museums are navigating recovery, access the 2023 Snapshot here: https://lnkd.in/g-YppSyC 🗓️ Museum directors received the 2024 Snapshot survey by email on August 1. If you did not receive the survey, please email us at communications [at] aam-us [dot] org as soon as possible to receive it prior to the August 31 deadline. Your participation is crucial in the 2024 Snapshot survey. Thank you for helping shape the future of our field!
