About us

Founded in 1985, the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians (AANP) is the national professional society representing licensed or licensable naturopathic physicians who are graduates of four-year, residential graduates programs. Each of the seven schools in North America is either accredited, or is a candidate for accreditation by an agency of the United States Department of Education. Located in Washington, DC, the AANP has 38 official State Affiliates across the country. Our membership consists of more than 2000 student, physicians, supporting and corporate members who collectively strive to expand access to naturopathic medicine nationwide.

  • We are so excited for you to join us next week!

Join us in three weeks for the next installment of our AANP Webinar Series! Many chronic illnesses such as Long Covid, ME/CFS, Fibromyalgia, Mold, Lyme, POTS, and more can be challenging to treat, with relapses common and long-term solutions sometimes being elusive. This opens up the search for more effective complementary treatments. Grounded in scientific evidence and recent RCTs, brain retraining has earned endorsements from a diverse range of health professionals, including functional and integrative doctors, naturopaths and nutritionists. • This Friday, October 18, is the LAST day to submit an abstract! Don't miss your chance to speak at the AANP 2025 Convention!

The AANP 2025 Annual Convention will be held July 10-12, 2025, at the Renaissance Esmeralda Resort, Indian Wells in Greater Palm Springs! The AANP 2025 Annual Convention marks the 40th anniversary of our association as "The Heart of Naturopathic Medicine." For centuries, the core principles of whole-person, integrative healthcare have been at the foundation of naturopathic practice. Now, as mainstream medicine embraces a "Whole Health" approach, this premier event will showcase how naturopathic doctors and like-minded professionals are leading the way with innovative practices, cutting-edge research, and comprehensive patient-centered care initiatives that are transforming the future of healthcare. This year's Convention will, once again, offer hybrid learning options, featuring both in-person and virtual sessions. The deadline to apply to speak is October 18, 2024, 11:59 pm ET.
