I’d like to thank AMERICAN Cast Iron Pipe Company for taking the time to give Women in Water a tour of the ductile plant in Birmingham. This tour made me realize they are manufacturing pipe “the right way.” I can proudly say that Ferguson reps the best ductile iron there is. This company is a 100% employee owned and operated. 90% of this pipe is recycled material reducing our carbon footprint. They also go above and beyond to make sure they are manufacturing material above the AWWA standards. Thank you for setting the bar high!

What an honor it was to host these Women in Water from the Alabama/Mississippi Section of AWWA for a tour of our ductile iron pipe manufacturing operations. Hearts in Hands, one of our community partners, continues to serve those in need in our surrounding neighborhoods. Through the end of July, Hearts in Hands helped 17 families living near our facility. This included 43 projects to build wheelchair ramps and perform critical home repairs. #BeABlessing

On August 10, ACIPCO partnered with the Hooper City Neighborhood Association to sponsor a fun day for neighbors. At the event, neighbors enjoyed grilled hamburgers and hot dogs, fried chicken and fish, chips and cotton candy, while children played on an inflatable bouncy house. Thanks to the Jefferson County Master Gardeners Association and employees for volunteering at the fun day. #BeABlessing

Congratulations to Project Coordinator Cailen Raines, ADIP Project Management, for being named chair of the Vulcan Park and Museum Junior Leadership Board in July 2024. Raines has been an active member of Vulcan's junior board since 2020 and enjoys the work she and others are doing to support and promote Vulcan Park and Museum. “It is a staple in the Birmingham community, and it’s amazing to play a part in that legacy,” she said.

Congratulations to Chris Robles on being named AMERICAN Steel Pipe Territory Manager for Texas. Chris joined AMERICAN in 2001 and, in his new role, will support our nation’s energy infrastructure.
