  • We are delighted to spotlight our American Council for Technology - Industry Advisory Council (ACT-IAC) Summer 2024 GLOW Cohort! Melissa W. At Leidos, I am one of two Directors of Proposal Management and Compliance under the Leidos Growth’s Office Capture Operations & Excellence Team. In this role I directly lead and mentor a team of 17 expert proposal managers as we support our growth initiatives through the pursuit of high priority, highly visible, and strategically significant opportunities.   There are so many great things about the GLOW program, beginning the amazing mentoring we receive from Judy Cohen and Erica Elam. Through this program, they have brought together a group of women at similar points in our careers and are helping to foster a sense of community and empowerment, where we can encourage, support, and inspire one another as we gain our footing in our leadership journeys. The GLOW program allows us to share some of the experiences and challenges we each face in a supportive environment, helping us to build confidence and learn from one another as we build confidence and excel in our careers. #womenleaders #professionaldevelopment #leadership

  • We are thrilled to spotlight our American Council for Technology - Industry Advisory Council (ACT-IAC) Partners Class of 2024! Jason K. I serve as the Chief of Acquisition Programs for Procurement Operations Division in USDA. I bring over 25 years of experience in contracting, program management, and delivery and operations of major programs, both in the military and USDA. I am responsible for leading the Strategic Acquisitions group that focuses on large-scale USDA enterprise level IT initiatives. In addition, I stood up and run the USDA Acquisition Program Management Office which assists customers across the enterprise in all phases of the acquisition lifecycle. Finally, I am also the USDA Category Management lead and the Mission Area Senior Program Manager for Departmental Administration.    The ACT-IAC Partners Program has afforded me the opportunity to significantly expand my network outside USDA.  I am grateful for the opportunities to forge new professional relationships with my amazing cohort of Partners across government and industry. The novel one-on-one partnership with my industry counterpart provides an opportunity to have candid conversations and gain a deeper appreciation of the challenges industry faces today. This fresh perspective will help me forge stronger coalitions and thrive in developing the most innovative solutions for the largest challenges in Government.      Josh Reese As the Director of Client Development and Strategy at Changeis, Inc., I am responsible for leading the development of comprehensive client strategy solutions, managing partnerships and driving growth, and empowering the use of cloud solutions and data science. With over 20 years of leadership and experience in organizational development through performance measurement and analytics, I bring a wealth of knowledge to this role. In addition, I am currently serving as the Program Manager for several important programs supporting the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), and the U.S. Courts. These roles have allowed me to drive impactful initiatives and deliver strategic outcomes for our clients.   The ACT-IAC Partners Program opened new doors and helped me connect with leaders in industry and government that I would otherwise be challenged in making on my own. It expanded my ecosystem, enabling me to better serve my customers in the Federal market. I am particularly grateful for the deep and thoughtful discussions around common challenges that both industry and government face as we solve our Nation’s challenges. The program provided me with enhanced leadership and communication skills, driving my team and organization towards better results. It also allowed me to explore how data analytics and generative AI can tackle some of our clients' most complex challenges, further enhancing our service delivery.  #professionaldevelopment #leadership

  • Federal Insights Exchange Featuring USPTO on July 31 Ensuring enterprise resilience in a product driven environment – USPTO is four years into our New Ways of Working, with business value delivery very much delivered by product centric teams. We have seen tremendous increases in delivery velocity and one of the biggest hiccups to sustaining this velocity has been unexpected dependencies being impacted. As we focus more team energy towards delivery, we need to make it easier and more seamless to leverage resilient enterprise capabilities. We’re pleased to host a fireside chat with John L., Senior Strategic IT Operations Advisor from USPTO for an in-person session at General Dynamics Information Technology.
