America’s Egg Farmers and Emily Metz were honored to host First Lady Dr. Jill Biden for a tour of Outward Farms in Raymond, Ohio. Egg farmers have an incredible, decades-long partnership with the White House Easter Egg Roll, a beloved family event celebrated annually on the White House lawn and hosted by the President and First Lady. Outward Farms is an innovative, USDA Certified Organic cage-free family farm that is proud to provide Americans with a wholesome, nutritious protein source. For this third-generation farm, a visit from the First Lady was quite the privilege! Founder, President and CEO Sandra Lausecker—an American Egg Board member– gave Dr. Biden a firsthand look inside her family farm. From hen houses to egg processing, Lausecker shared the farm’s story and highlighted how she brings egg farmers’ values to life in the work they do each day. It's an eggciting time for the American Egg Board as we send representatives Emily Metz and Nick Jones to Bogotá, Colombia on a U.S. Agribusiness Trade Mission! The first full day of the U.S. Agribusiness Trade Mission in Bogotá kicked off with great energy and enthusiasm. Our delegation, representing a wide range of U.S. agricultural sectors, kicked off the day with an overview of the Colombian market for U.S. agriculture with Under Secretary for Trade and Foreign Agricultural Affairs Alexis Taylor, Agricultural Counselor Rachel Nelson,  and Ambassador Francisco Palmieri. From there, delegates toured retail sites and enjoyed a taste of Colombian culture at dinner. AEB's representatives are looking forward to continued learning and exploration in the days to come.🌏🥚 #EggIndustry #USAgriculture

America’s egg farmers take immense pride in celebrating the extraordinary achievements of our U.S. athletes and the records they’re breaking in Paris. Eggs are more than just a staple; they are an irreplaceable source of high-quality protein and essential nutrients crucial for athletic performance and recovery. We understand the challenges that come with accessing nutritious foods, both for athletes and their home communities. That’s why the American Egg Board, on behalf of America’s egg farmers, is thrilled to pledge over 1 million eggs to local food banks in the hometowns of a dozen U.S. athletes breaking records this summer in Paris. As featured in PRWeek, this campaign not only highlights the essential role of nutrition in athletic success but also underscores the commitment of America’s egg farmers in supporting both athletes and their local communities. I am incredibly proud of our dedicated team, our farmers, and our partners for bringing this impactful initiative to life. #BreakingRecordsBreakingEggs #MeanttobeBroken

Eggs have long been seen as just a staple, but the American Egg Board knows they're so much more than that. Great things happen when you break the mold. When you crack open an egg, you unlock the power to create endless, nutritious possibilities. Whether it’s a surprising dinner hack, or an out-the-door breakfast solution you can feel confident in, eggs are a blank canvas for culinary creativity. #MeanttobeBroken

President & CEO at American Egg Board

Today, with the vision of our Board of Directors and the creativity of our talented American Egg Board team, we launched our boldest initiative yet: The “Meant to be Broken” campaign.     We know that eggs play an integral role in helping consumers break out of routine and sustain busy lifestyles. But research shows our consumers often reach around them in refrigerators or limit them as only a “breakfast food.” Our new innovative, multichannel campaign aims to drive demand by expanding eggs into more meal occasions for a strategic growth segment of the population. "Meant to be Broken" will inspire people to rethink convention and rediscover the limitless ways eggs can support them in living their best every day, extraordinary lives.   But, this isn’t just a campaign; it’s a movement and a call to action. It's a rallying cry for our industry to think bigger, to act bolder and to not limit ourselves to the preconceived notions of where eggs can go and what they can do. To break all the rules. To, quite literally, break a few eggs. Our possibilities are endless. We are, as an industry, as a community of egg farmers, as a Checkoff, as agriculture: Meant to be Broken, too.   America’s egg farmers are encouraging everyone to express themselves through new kitchen creations, step out of their comfort zones, and embrace the mentality that the best things in life come from shattering what you thought was possible and putting the broken pieces back together. And if you need inspiration, we've got ideas by the dozen at Meanttobebroken.org. #MeanttobeBroken #eggs #Americaseggfarmers #LetsGo
