Latin American galvanizer, Druetta Hnos. S.A., shared a remarkable ADM Ex Toepfer project that is fully galvanized and similar to the Louis Dreyfus Biodiesel Plant in Claypool, IN. In 2020, amidst the pandemic, 1,450 tons of steel were galvanized for this industrial plant in Puerto Gral. San Martín, Argentina, processing wheat, cereals, and fertilizers. Bridges of Stark County: 40 Years of Corrosion-Free Excellence In the early 1970s, Rich Larocco, a pioneering bridge engineer, tackled the challenge of 110 deficient bridges and a costly repainting budget. His solution? Hot-dip galvanizing. By sandblasting and galvanizing the bridges' beams and decks, he not only extended their lifespan but also reduced repainting costs from 50% of the budget to less than 10%. Today, Stark County continues to benefit from this forward-thinking approach. A tour through the county reveals bridges from the 70s still standing strong and guardrails from the 50s, re-galvanized in the 70s, still in service.
