Here are some tips to help you avoid becoming a victim of a government imposter scam: ➡️ Do not give out personal information or money to anyone who contacts you. This includes your Social Security number, bank account information, credit card numbers, and passwords. ➡️ Verify the identity of the caller. If you are unsure about a request, contact the agency directly using a phone number or website that you know is legitimate. ➡️ Do not click on links or open attachments in emails from unknown senders. These emails may contain malware that can steal your personal information. ➡️ Be aware of common red flags.
