One hundred twenty-five years of service to its community is a major milestone for a #PublicPower #utility to reach! Yesterday, APPA's Senior Vice President, Membership & Marketing, Jeff Haas, had the privilege of presenting Wallingford Dept. of Public Utilities' Director of Public Utilities, Rick Hendershot, with APPA’s Century Award for its 125th Anniversary providing electricity to the community of Wallingford, Connecticut. It was great to be part of their celebration acknowledging an impressive milestone. #PublicPower

During #PublicPowerWeek, we want to showcase how #PublicPower is proud to aid their communities and neighbors through #MutualAid. Recently, APPA's President & CEO, Scott Corwin, presented commendations to CPS Energy at their Board of Trustees meeting in San Antonio, as part of APPA's Mutual Aid Commendation Program. This program recognizes utilities that have answered the call for assistance and aided another utility in restoring power to its customers within the past 12 months. We're grateful to CPS Energy and all Public Power utilities in the public power mutual aid network. #CommunityPowered
